Postcrossing Incoming! Finland flag

A long postcard with the Finish flag, from Arja in Sotkamo. She tells me about her municipality, part of the Kainnu Region, with a population of 10.500 inhabitants.
She tells me also, that the Sotkamo name comes from the Finnish word "Sotku", meaning "a mess", o "sotka", what water birds were called in the beginnings of the country.
If you can visit Sotkamo, start by visiting this: http://vuokatti.fi/
