Indian market MPV's compared

Compact, tall MPVs are very popular in Southeast Asia. There are many models competing there, pretty much unknown out of the region. I don't know much about them myself, so I like this comparisson review by Autocar India. These vehicles used to be pickup-derived, body on frame, but they have gotten more and more car-like with each passing years, only the Toyota remaining BOF.

The competitors are: Renault Lodgy, Toyota Innova, Honda Mobilio, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Tata Aria, Mahindra Xylo, Nissan Evalia (a passenger NV200) and the Chevrolet Enjoy (a Wuling product).

Sometimes I wondered if these could catch up if sold in Chile. We have recently received one of those vehicles, the Mahindra Xylo, called Quanto in our market. We'll se how it fares.
